Andrea Worwood:

Co-Director Jazz, Ballet and children's classes, Office Manager

Andrea co-founded Canyon Dance Academy in 2004.  She began dancing at the age of 6 at various Treasure Valley studios and became an assistant teacher when she was 13.  Andrea has been teaching her own classes for over 10 years.  She has also studied dance at BSU and has attended numerous workshops.

Andrea is married and resides in Caldwell with her husband, Corey and their 4 children. 

Tamara Scott:

Co-Director Childrens, Ballet, Jazz and Tap classes

Tamara has been a studio owner and dance instructor in Caldwell since 2001.  She has been involved in dance since age 5 and has studied at various studios in Idaho.  Tamara graduated from University of Idaho in 1999 with a Master's Degree in Dance Pedagogy (Education). 

Instructors

Lori Zechman: Ballet & Jazz classes

Lori has been teaching in the Nampa/Caldwell area for 13 years.  She ran her own successful studio for 6 years, but with the arrival of her first child, she sold the business and began working strictly as a teacher.  She directed the Starfire Dance Team, which received several honors at IDC nationals in 2004.  Lori began her dance education in her hometown of Dublin, Ca.  Since then she has trained at local studios, BSU, BYU as well as taking classes and workshops in New York with such instructors as Mia Michaels, Mike Minery, Mandy Moore and Dan Karaty.  Lori met her husband while dancing with the Del Sol Ballroom Dancers, and they still enjoy dancing and performing together.  They live in Caldwell with their 5 children.

Star Lyon:  Hip Hop Classes

Star was born and raised in Providence, UT where she found her love of dance.  She danced and taught for 5 years and then moved to Idaho.  Star has attended many dance workshops in Utah and Las Vegas and loves to keep learning.  She is very excited to be back in the world of dance and loves to watch her students develop and grow through the world of dance.  When Star is not teaching dance she loves to spend time with her husband and new daughter, reading, baking, being with her family and doing anything outside!
